Ovidius Aqua Line is offering lab-like conditions unlike most other fish farms for the following reasons : the growing and fish processing facility with a net approximated yearly output of 25 tons (sturgeon, trout, caviar) is indoor in an insulated building, the water is being recirculated, there is a near-by river ( Danube – 20 meters away ), high-end IoT equipment for real-time monitoring and control, back-up power supply, modular design fiber-glass ponds, self-production unit of concentrated oxygen. The living lab methodology helps to understand user-centric approaches in real-world environments through co-creation, demonstration, testing and evaluation of the most innovative solutions in aquaculture. The fish consumers and other stakeholders in the value chain have been approached through our business ecosystem By the involvement of an ICT partner the product information, value-chain transparency, sustainability has benefits and personalized buying experiences can be tailor-made and adapted by the highest flexibility for the beneficiaries. The living lab approach facilitates end-users to be involved in the development phase of our solutions from the beginning to end. Due to the changed behavior of consumers, traceability is required; through the interaction with the them and specific hardware on-site it can be achieved.

OAL Living Lab is aiming to improve the knowledge, extend the network, win-win for stakeholders, collaborate with the stakeholders to share the results.

• Organization, management & governance of the living lab:

This organigram follows the quadruple helix governance model that means that the stakeholders from the governmental institution, from the private sector, from academia and civil society are joining several activities of the living lab.

The diagram below grouping the different types of the stakeholders that expressed their interest to collaborate with the living lab. Some of them assigned the letters of support and letters of recommendation attached as Annex_1.
